About

Sigma Nu Tau is an entrepreneurial honor society for students who value entrepreneurship, leadership, and academics. Our primary focus is to teach our members how to use entrepreneurship to excel in the workplace. We provide the fundamentals and resources to create the leaders of tomorrow. Sigma Nu Tau is an elite group of students who have an overall GPA of 3.2 or higher, junior status or higher, and are also studying entrepreneurship.

Membership includes a one time $80 fee - with an additional $20 fee each academic semester.

Benefits

Sigma Nu Tau works closely with the University of Iowa John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center (Iowa JPEC) through active participation in events and competitions. Being a part of this organization gives individuals the opportunity to gain meaningful relationships with other students who share similar values, learn from successful entrepreneurs, and network with potential employers.

Entrepreneurial luncheons

You will get to attend exclusive luncheons with alumni, prominent community members, and experienced entrepreneurs to gain meaningful knowledge and advice. We recently enjoyed a lunch-and-learn event with the New York Times bestselling-author and serial entrepreneur, Diana Kander.

Induction ceremony

The induction ceremony is a highlight of the year for our organization. We welcome new members with a formal ceremony where members are also awarded with their graduation cords.

Professional trips

We take business trips to visit companies to meet potential employers. These experiences in the professional environment will give you idea of what it takes to be an entrepreneur.
