The Democratic Republic of the Congo

Junior holds a master’s degree in telecommunication systems and information from Changchun University of Science and Technology. He is in the process of obtaining his MBA from South Wales University. From 2011 to 2012 he helped create Congo China Business Sourcing, a company that supports entrepreneurs in improving their business with the Chinese market.

Currently Junior works as a wireless engineer for Huawei Technology. Seeing a lack of social basics in his community he decided to create a public wash shop, where people could wash their clothes.

Junior believes that development can only be successful with input from the community. He does this through creating activities that serve the community as a whole and if possible ones that create jobs. As with his wash shop, Junior’s next initiative is to create a farm that serves his community and creates jobs.

From the fellowship, Junior hopes to gain skills that will help him encourage entrepreneurship back home in order to decrease dependency on foreign investment. He also would like to learn about business ethics, social entrepreneurship, managing resources and business administration. In the next 5 years he hopes to invest in his farm venture and add new technologies.
