Alfred Ngate
Central African Republic

Aflred’s professional accomplishment first started with the creation of his association, “DO NOT WAIT FOR SOMEONE’S HELP”. Its purpose was to help and train youth in sewing, carpentry, baking, cooking, and selling. This training was to strengthen each youth’s skillset and allow them to begin and manage their own business. His association has trained 1200 young people each year, and a total of 800 have successfully started their own business. Alfred is a volunteer at the CAR YALI association, which enables him to continue to learn new skills which he then brings back to his community. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, he will expand his work with youth throughout the Central African Republic.
