Abimbola
Okeyingbo

Abimbola runs a poverty eradication and youth development initiative in Nigeria. Her passion to end poverty and develop human resources in her country began when she realized that violent extremist actors enhanced the poverty among youth. After learning this, Abimbola began her initiative, YAAgric Vila, a program that trains insurgent displaced farmers who can no longer access their farmlands in hydroponic farming and trains unemployed youth in soil-less and fish farming. Since beginning her initiative, YAAgric Vila has trained 50 insurgent displaced farmers and 45 unemployed youths. Her aim for continuing her progress is to offer alternative to extremists’ actions for vulnerable individuals that will steadily increase community resilience to extremist actions.
