NASBITE Accredited CGBP Online Training
The Institute for International Business (IIB) offers online CGBP exam prep. The Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) credential is administered by the National Association of Small Business International Trade Educators (NASBITE) International. As mentioned on NASBITE’s website, the CGBP credential “confirms knowledge in international trade and assures that employees are able to practice global business at the professional level required in today’s competitive environment.”
Okoboji Entrepreneurial Institute (OEI)

Deadline To Apply to be Iowa JPEC Ambassador
The Ambassador Program is comprised of 10-12 Iowa JPEC students who represent the entrepreneurial center to the community, University of Iowa student body and prospective students. The Ambassadors promote the Iowa JPEC programs through a variety of University of Iowa events, community events, and social media.
Venture School Fall Cohort Deadline
Master the startup process with our premier statewide Venture School, an innovative training program focused on real-world experimentation, customer discovery, and Lean LaunchPad methodologies. This program uses the official National Science Foundation I-Corps curriculum to help high-potential startups turn their ideas into reality.
Fall 2017 cohorts will be available in Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Cedar Falls, and online. Applications are due September 18, 2017.
Faculty Innovators Workshop Fall Registation
The Faculty Innovators Program is a shortened four-week version of Venture School designed to provide University of Iowa faculty and staff members with the opportunity to develop marketable ideas and accelerate the startup process. This program will give participants an introduction to the Lean Launchpad methodology and familiarize them with the Business Model Canvas and customer discovery. At the conclusion of the program, participants are encouraged to proceed with Venture School’s main program, or at the national level with the NSF I-Corps program.
