Scholarships
The John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center at The University of Iowa is pleased to offer several scholarships to fulltime UI students studying entrepreneurship. Applications for the following academic year will be available each spring.
$5,000 Edward M. Moldt Entrepreneurial Scholarship
JPEC annually awards up to two $5,000 Edward M. Moldt Entrepreneurial Scholarships to outstanding entrepreneurial students. The scholarships are provided by a generous donation from John and Mary Pappajohn. The naming of the scholarship recognizes Edward Moldt's outstanding leadership and commitment to entrepreneurial education at The University of Iowa. Edward served as the JPEC Director from 1994-1995 and 1998-2000 and is on the JPEC Advisory Board.

$1,000 Clifford M. Baumback Entrepreneurial Studies Award
The Clifford M. Baumback Entrepreneurial Studies Award is a $1,000 scholarship awarded to one undergraduate student who is entering their senior year and pursuing the Certificate in Entrepreneurship, the Technological Entrepreneurship Certificate or a Bachelors in Performing Arts Entrepreneurship. The award is based on demonstrated outstanding scholastic achievement in the area of entrepreneurial studies. Mrs. Janice Baumback established this award in memory of her husband, Clifford Baumback, who was a University of Iowa faculty member from 1953 until his retirement in 1980, as a professor emeritus. He was the first director of the University of Iowa Institute for Entrepreneurial Management in 1979.

$1,000 Oldorf Scholarship of Entrepreneurial Studies
JPEC will award up to eight $1,000 Oldorf Scholarships to graduate or undergraduate entrepreneurship students who have significant interest in entrepreneurial studies.

Richard K. Miller Technological Entrepreneurship Scholarship
To be eligible for this scholarship, students must be enrolled in the College of Engineering and have begun their studies in the Technological Entrepreneurship Certificate program. Complete an Application Form, submit a letter of recommendation and an essay describing what you hope to accomplish with the certificate.
