K-12 Program
Jacobson Entrepreneurship Academy - Iowa City
July 14-18, 2008
The University of Iowa, Iowa City
The purpose of this program is to provide students the opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship. The camp includes classroom instruction, guest speakers, and tours of local businesses. The camp will be held daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. from July 14-18, 2008. For Cedar Rapids area students, transportation will be provided from a central location in Cedar Rapids to Iowa City and back again each day. It will be the parents' responsibility to provide transportation to and from the drop-off point each day. For Iowa City students, transportation to and from the camp is the responsibility of the parents.
There is a fee of $159 per student for the camp. The fee helps cover costs that include instruction, class materials, camp t-shirt, bus transportation for tours, snacks, lunches and the graduation reception. A limited number of scholarships are available for those in need; please contact the Pappajohn Center for details. Applications received by April 20 will receive $20 off the normal fee.
Students selected for the program will be notified by mail on or before June 1, 2008. Payment is not required until the student is accepted into the program.
