Directions and Parking Information
The conference will be held at the Iowa Memorial Union located at 125 N. Madison Street.
Directions from I-80:
- Exit south on Dubuque Street (Exit 244)
- Follow Dubuque Street south to Market Street (~1.5 miles)
- Turn right onto Market Street
- Follow Market Street down the hill to Madison Street
- As you come down the hill, the Iowa Memorial Union is the large building to the left of the walking bridge
Parking Options
IMU Parking Ramp:
From Market Street — Turn left on Madison St. The IMU Parking Ramp is directly across the street from the IMU.
North Parking Ramp:
From Market Street — Turn right on Madison St. and follow the road until it ends—this will be the entrance to the North Ramp.
Alternative Parking Options
The IMU and North Parking Ramps fill up quickly. The following is a list of city parking ramps that are within a 10-15 minute walk from the Iowa Memorial Union.
Old Capitol Mall Parking:
From the IMU — continue south on Madison Street. Turn left on Jefferson Street. Turn right on Clinton Street. Parking Ramp is on the right just past the Old Capitol Mall.
Tower Place & Parking:
From the IMU — continue south on Madison Street. Turn left on Jefferson Street. Turn right on Clinton Street. Turn left on Iowa Avenue. Parking ramp is on the left three blocks down.
Chauncey Swan Garage:
From the IMU — continue south on Madison Street. Turn left on Jefferson Street. Turn right on Clinton Street. Turn left on Washington Street (stay in right lane). Parking ramp is on the left four blocks down. Note: lower level is accessed only from Washington Street. Upper levels are accessed from the College Street Bridge. This is an unattended, automated pay ramp. Immediately after parking, observe space number painted on stall. Proceed to pay station (located in stairwells) and pay in advance, just like you would a parking meter. Do not walk out of the garage without pre-paying.
